Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: January 2025

NDIS Guide (ndisguide.au) is reader-supported. Some of the links on this website are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase — at no extra cost to you.

This disclosure is made in accordance with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

What This Means in Plain English

When we recommend a product — such as a wheelchair, assistive technology device, or mobility aid — and you click the link and buy it, the retailer or supplier pays us a small percentage of the sale as a referral fee. This is called an affiliate commission.

The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer. You never pay more because of our affiliate relationship.

How Affiliate Links Are Identified

Any article on NDIS Guide that contains affiliate links will include the following notice near the top of the page:

“This article contains affiliate links. If you purchase through these links, NDIS Guide earns a small commission at no extra cost to you.”

Individual product recommendation boxes within articles are also affiliate links unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Our Editorial Independence

Our affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content. Specifically:

  • We do not accept payment to feature, recommend, or positively review any product or service
  • We do not accept free products in exchange for reviews
  • Products are selected for recommendation based on their merit, suitability for NDIS participants, and availability in Australia — not based on commission rates
  • We will recommend against a product if we believe it is poor value or unsuitable, even if we have an affiliate relationship with the supplier
  • Affiliate income does not determine which topics we cover or how we cover them

If we ever receive a product for free to review, we will disclose this clearly within the article.

Current Affiliate Relationships

We may have affiliate or referral relationships with the following types of businesses. This list is not exhaustive and may change over time:

  • Assistive technology and mobility equipment suppliers operating in Australia
  • Amazon Associates Australia
  • NDIS plan management and support coordination providers (referral arrangements)
  • Other Australian health and disability product retailers

Lead Generation

In addition to affiliate product links, NDIS Guide may also earn referral fees when we connect readers with NDIS service providers (such as support coordinators or plan managers) who are looking for new participants. Where this applies, it will be disclosed within the relevant content.

NDIS Pricing Information

Product prices and NDIS funding amounts shown on this website are indicative only and subject to change. NDIS funding for assistive technology and equipment varies by individual plan and support budget. Always confirm pricing and funding eligibility with your support coordinator, occupational therapist, or the NDIA directly.

Questions

If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or how we make money, please contact us. We are committed to full transparency and will answer any question honestly.

Thank you for supporting NDIS Guide by using our links. The commissions we earn help us keep this website free, regularly updated, and independent.
